Hi I’m Jim Britts,
Here’s a little about me...
In January of 2007, Jim combined his film degree and experiences in youth ministry to begin writing the script for To Save A Life. Many of the characters and scenes were inspired by students and events in his ministry experiences and he prays that the film and book may inspire many young people to reach out to the hurting and lonely around them.
Jim has served as a youth pastor for the past ten years, but that was never the plan. He went to Biola University as a screen writing major but during the summer before his senior year he interned at a church with high school students and was never the same again. He finished his senior year and went back to that same church in Sacramento where he completed an MA in general ministry at Western Seminary.
Since 2002, Jim has been serving at New Song Community Church in Oceanside, CA as the Next Generation Pastor. Jim is married to his beautiful bride, Rachel, who is a high school English teacher at Oceanside High School. Jim loves long distance running, the Sacramento Kings, In n Out burger and helping students figure out how God wants to use them to change their world. To Save a Life is Jim’s first novel.
